What is an egg song?

My girls are about 18 weeks, so we're hoping for eggs soon. I was reading about behaviors that indicate that they are close, but I don't know what this means.

You may find them spending some more time in the nest box soon, but more than likely you will just find an egg one day soon.

Hi, I have only one layer so far and she doesn't make a sound after she has layed. She makes a honking noise for about an hour or so before she actually gets in the nest to lay! Silly hen
