$$$What is the most expensive chicken you have brought or sold?$$$

My most expensive bought birds are my splash OEGB...I paid $120 for the trio.

I think the most I've sold any one bird for would probably be $15 at most.

Hmm. I'm afraid to even say what I've paid or sold for...I don't mess around with my beginning stock and fully believe my flocks I've developed are produced with care and quality enough to be worth something.

It's what I do, and I am proud of my stock, for better or worse- I feel it's worth what I paid for my beginning breeding stock and the time to create what I have from each breed to justify what I get for my sales. And I'm nuts...I've mentioned my obsessive projects, right?

The most I've paid I think is $20 for a pair of OEGB and I know they are worth every penny.
The most I've sold for was $15 for a breeding pair of MGB
I have seen people advertise jungle fowl for $100 and up though.

Well, it wasn't meant to be this way....but I've got two $40 Cornish cross hens. I bought $80 worth of chicks in the fall and something was wrong with them, all but two died, and they didn't grow right, so they're 7 months old and still hanging around, they're just now about 8 pounds each and starting to lay.
