I put alot of meds in bread for my birds and dogs.

I am so sorry that you introduction to chicken keeping has started out so poorly.

But from the sound of things this illness can likely be treated and controlled. I wouldn't give up on your ladies yet! When something bad happens to our birds it can definitely be depressing or downright heartbreaking, but they are such a joy to have. Mine make me smile and laugh every single time I go out to visit with them during the day. You will be so happy to have them.
