Actually I feel more comfortable with the type that does compliment your purse. I can be myself without them thinking that I want them. But that is another thread entirely.

It's sad that in today's world a compliment can't be paid and excepted for just that...a compliment. We always have to 'read into' things or look for an ulterior motive. We are sexual beings....we may here "wow you look really nice" and turn it into "you're hot and why don't we....". I don't know where it stems from whether it be past experiences, low self esteem or whatever but we can't take a compliment at face value. Sure there are those who do hope that their 'sweet talk' may go father but for the most part I think compliments are pretty sincere. I'm sure we've all had experiences with both types so it's understandable why alot of women feel uncomfortable with it.
