I work in a profession where I meet thousands of people in a day sometimes. I deal cards and pitboss at one of the major casinos up here. I get to see every walk of life coming through those doors.
Coming from a dealer standpoint, yes I do point out physical attributes on people all the time.... OMG I love that ring, Where do you get your hair done, That purse is beautiful. On guys I'll mock the fact that they have a Ford cap or John Deere or something like that. Its at least an icebreaker to bring people out of there shell. Some of these people can be down $10 grand and down in the dumps and you give them anything in the world to take their mind off their money. Some people only show up at the casino because they are having so many problems at home they don't want to be there. Some of the little old people especially wear things because of sentimental value. Get em talking at least.... Take their mind off their problems and put a smile on their face.
I've lost count of the young kids (maybe 18-20 years old) that come in the casino scared to say the least. If they do get the nerve to come up to the tables they are literally shaking like a leaf. Talk to them and get em laughing... If you even remember anything about them they are in shock. For example, one really good looking young guy wore the same shirt at least 20 times in a row. I finally called him out on it and asked him if his mom ever took him shopping. Now he comes up to my table at least once a week with a different shirt on every time. He always has a huge smile on his face and winks when he sees me. He knows I'm not trying to hit on him.... They just know you care enough to notice them!
