What is Wrong With BYC Today? - "Please enter something before you submit your post"

I had problems with website not being found today. I tried multiple times & using different browsers. This time, no problems loaded right up.

ETA omg it went I haven't been able to post for a week or so now but maybe once every 2 to 3 days. Mine is the same thing and I get the same response as Ki4got put up, and its happening to my mom and dad as well at their house. Mine isn't just in a single thread its broad wide that I cant post. Please help as it is driving us bonkers!

in the short term, i'm finding to send PM, if you do it from the person's profile it works fine but not always from a thread, and to post to a thread or edit a post, go to the full page editor or preview before submitting.

It did the same thing to me yesterday, but then it just started to work again.

Now it is not showing emotacons in the basic editor, I have to go to the Advanced Editor...

Well, I'm in Mozilla and now looking to see if the problem (s) happen to me. The quoter worked.

if the page is recently refreshed, it doesn't give errors, but if it's been loaded and sat there for a bit then i tend to get issues...
i almost wonder if it's because someone else is viewing the page, when they weren't when you first loaded it? i've noticed when i do a refresh that the list showing who's viewing changes.

it's random threads i think.

as for the PM, if you hover over a name (in a thread) and click PM, sometimes it loads right, other times the toolbar is missing and when you click send, the page just sits there. I sent one message 4 times clicking the button and got a message back from the person to stop spamming them. oh and if you click the cancel button, again it doesn't respond... LOL however, if the toolbar comes up then it works normally. bit if you click the person's name and go to their profile, the pm sends normally each time.

hope that helps a bit more... i'll edit the post if i come up with a screenshot of the PM in the next little bit.

When I post my first post a pop up says I need to submit content as if I am submitting a blank post before it will post it in my PM and on regular posts usually only when I post my first post when returning to the site but yet I am still logged in. I will see if it will do it this timebeing my second post.

When I came back to edit this post it said "wait a moment" which it never did that before but my OP went through fine. Hope this helps.

The problem went away for a while, but now it is back. I'm still using the work around of using the full page editor, or using the preview first. The good news is that the emotacons work now.
