Marco is my favorite in my flock of 6 muscovies. He is waddling around, eating, and drinking. I was able to pet him and smooth the feathers back into place. He did not seem distressed by this but when I let go they flopped back out.

Any ideas?

Any clues on how to make my pics appear in the post are also appreciated. Thanks.

He has angelwing. It's pretty common in some geese. Its origins are under debate, but the most common hypothesis is that it is a genetic defect with a dietary trigger. It can be fixed in very young birds with some strategic wrapping, but once past 8-10 weeks it is nearly impossible to fix. It prevents flight because it causes twisting of the "wrist" bones. Because of its genetic component this bird should not be used as breed stock. It is unsightly, but not painful to the bird.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

Thank you very much for your reply. I've done some reading and watched a video on taping. Marco turns 9 weeks tomorrow but I am still hopeful that with a changed of diet and wing taping he will have a better prognosis.
