In case anyone wants to check out a couple modern Yule songs.

Today we are digging deep on some cookie making. We give hand-crafted gifts to all our friends on Yule and cookies are part of them. We baked 24 jumbo brownies, 12 jumbo banana bread muffins, we put together our double batch of pinwheel dough last night so that'll be baked today. Then rum balls and rice crispy treats that look like wreathes.
Then we start in on the challenging one - custom sugar cookies with sugar candy windows filled with small candies and piped royal icing decorations. THAT one's gonna be hard. Everyone's getting just one BIG one of those.

Thanks! We have 24 people exactly coming for Yule, and they get a mix of handmade gifts and small bought items. It's a big event but one of the happiest days of the year for me every year! I'm really happy to have every one of them in my life.

Uhh I don't see any presents yet! They told me to tell you there are only 8 shopping days left!

Their presents go under the tree on Christmas Eve. They're already wrapped, & ready to go.

So I just finished these today for my guests. They are vegetable based soaps. Pardon the dog fur on the closeup shot. And yes, they look at least this good in real life if not better. They looks like real gemstones from a distance. I think they look even better. I'm REALLY happy with these! The ruler is an 8 inch rules for some precise scale.

The blue leaked into the pink a little but it looks OK. The purple is a mix of all the cuttings from the pink and blue mixed together by depth of color.

Anyone else doing home made gifts for the holidays to share?
