What is your favorite homemade jelly?

Quote:
Did you picles the prickly pear apples or the cactus itself? One time we used the aples and the color of the jelly was like nothing else we had seen. It was lie magenta, only transperent. Tasted good, too.

I've only made grape jelly as a kid with my grandmother-- until last year-- I made Chokecherry jelly, and it was fabulous! Ask me next year after I grow some strawberries and make a jam from them-- it might be a toss up after that

PEACHES, PEACHES, PEACHES!!!

OMG, do I love peaches! Peach pie, peach ice cream, peach cake, peach muffins, peach tarts, peaches with whipped cream, peaches on cheesecake, peach rings (chewy candy), canned peaches, peaches in a jar, fresh peaches in season (I'm drooling already but I have to wait until August) and peach preserves (I can eat them straight out of the jar with a spoon--so decadent)!!!

PEACHES are the BEST!!!

Edited to add: Peach schnapps (brand Peachtree) is pretty DARNED GOOD, too, when mixed with Absolut Apeach (peach flavored vodka)--1 1/2 to 2 ounces of each--and Sunny Delight orange drink (fill 12 oz. glass with ice and add orange drink)! Makes the yummiest Fuzzy Navel EVER!!!

One favorite? I'm supposed to pick ONE?

The ones that go quickly in this house are:
Seedless black raspberry
Peach-orange or peach-ginger
Apple or pumpkin butter
lemon curd
Blueberry spice
Strawberry-lemongrass

I loves me some Crab Apple Jelly, but I picked from the tree once and have never gotten fruit from it again. It wasn't my tree.

Anyways, I love the grape jam I made last year (several jars) so this year I will focus on Strawberry Jam YUMMY!!!!!

Don't want to get to many jars of the same jams. Hope to get a raspberry vine going so in a couple years I can make Raspberry Jam.

Last year I made a citrus blueberry jam that was delicious. It surprised me how much I liked it. The strawberry-rhubarb jam was delish, too.

So... you're all making me think. What if we did a jam/jelly/butter swap at some point this summer? Send a 1/2 pint of your fav jam + the recipe. You get to share, get something new... AND you don't lose a jar to someone who doesn't appreciate home-canned items! LOL.

Thoughts??

My mom made Crabapple Jelly one year that was awesome. We made it last as long as possible, but its been gone for years now and she doesn't do that kind of stuff anymore
