My dog was always Evangeline. I did maybe think of calling her something else for about two seconds, but I don’t remember what that was now.

Lots of my chickens have different names than what was originally intended.

My dog was going to be "Muffin" but once I got her her colour kept reminding me of honey, Honey as a name was already taken though So she became Winnie
One of my past birds, I had decided (I was on a wait list) if it was a boy he would be "Teal'c" and if a girl would be "Nautilus". Nautilus grew on me too much and when he turned out to be a boy I stuck with it regardless

My very first batch of chickens all got named after Pride & Prejudice characters. Except my husband, who picked out the chick that I dubbed Elizabeth, decided he wanted to call her Chicuterie and the name stuck Now years later all of the P&P chickens have passed on but Chicuterie is still going strong.
