hmm I may look into rabbits again then. i think they are adorable but I was always turned off by the ones I had growing up that were skittish or down right temperamental. i want meat rabbits one day but I suspect i need to treat them like the chickens i raise for meat, in other words handle them very little. it's much easier to do what's needed when they are skittish.
Actually "meat" rabbits are some of the friendliest, most docile breeds and make excellent pets. Many people find meat breeds to be more child friendly than some of the cute little dwarfs you see. My bunny, Pinky, is a New Zealand White, which is definitely a meat breed, and she is very funny and friendly. I also handled her a lot early on to socialize her and she grew up playing with my cats.
I got distracted talking about bunnies and didn't answer your question. I guess ALL animals. There are really no animals I don't like. I suppose I lean toward things with fur or feathers as opposed to reptiles, but I really like just about everything. I have a special fondness for farm animals, goats, cows, pigs, chickens, sheep, etc. But I also loves cats and have always had at least one cat, usually more. I like dogs too, although I don't have one currently. I love the backyard birds. I also really love wild woodland creatures, bears, deer, racoons, possum, chipmunks, owls, etc. I guess I'm just an all around animal lover!
I like pretty much all animals, from nematodes to grackles. Not big on ticks, leeches, and anything parasitic that likes to bury into skin, but other than that, it comes down to not liking individuals, including individual people. Biodiversity makes me feel all warm and toasty.
I am by far a dog person, consider then my kid's.
I have indoor and outdoor cats both, I perfer the outdoor cats.
Outdoor animals would have to be in no order, Jenny my pig, Turkeys and cows.
I dont like bunnies or any other thing with rat teeth. We do have a guinea pig, I do not take care of it.
Last on my list is horses. Not to offend the horse people, they are beautiful animals....I am terrified of them. They can kick sideways you know.
For some reason I can read dogs very easily and understand them. We always seem to seek each other out, like if I go over to a friend's house who has a dog they seem to come to me first and hang out with me. My late husband was always frustrated because the dogs would listen to me and not to him.
NOT a cat person, just don't understand them.
Behind dog comes horse as I can read and respond to them well.
Cat person unless they are play fighting on my bed when I am trying to sleep.
I have also got to buy some more black out blind curtain liners
As Queenie has killed them
I have recently found I really like reptiles...I have 2 alligators, a snake, uromastyx, blue tongue skink, the turtles are on the bottom of my list.
But I also have goats, a donkey, parrots, budgies, finches, canaries, cockatoo, chinchillas, hedgehog, ferret, hamsters (they actually belong to one of the cats), ducks, chickens, guineas, dogs, cats...I'm sure I've forgotten someone.
ETA: The mini teacup pigs! I knew I'd forget someone!
Horses are my #1. Haven't even owned a horse myself but always admired them from afar since I was a child. Then I had an experience with a neighbor's horse that got loose & showed up here that I can only describe as spiritual.
After that I have to say goats, followed by most poultry. In general dogs are lower on my list but certain ones might squeeze themselves up higher.
