It has been in a jar for about 2 years now, but the jar is not the best bet since it’s a mason jar with measurement lines and decoration on the glass. I wanted to put it in something clearer. Like one of those display boxes, but I think I needs to be sealed in something well. You should seal it in a jar and display it.
It is?!It's a ball python.
Yeah, unfortunate for the snake. Must've been an escaped pet.It is?!
Wow I just looked them up and it is a lot like one!
They only live in North Africa, are you sure? I know that large snakes can be abandoned after bought as pets, but that usually only happens when they start to grow to their large adult size.It is?!
Wow I just looked them up and it is a lot like one! But it’s tiny compared to the images. The car has been kept in California, Arizona, Texas, and now Tennessee. But I don’t think any of those places have those there
Interesting! That’s strangely a sweet story to26 yrs ago my dad was helping my sister repair a ceiling. When he pulled down a damaged piece of sheetrock, a snake just like yours, fell to the floor. Dad had that snake hanging from a nail in the garage for yrs.
I inherited the snake from dad after he passed, and ended up buying my sister's house where the snake was originally found. During renovations in 2017, I put the snake back in the same place dad found it.
Someone told me it was a king or corn snake.
It's definitely a ball python, and a young one. Snakes can be escape artists. It probably got out or someone let it go.It DOES look similar to a Burmese Python to. Google says those are invasive in Florida.
I will ask if his car went there to (it’s been many places)
