What kind to get??? WHY is it so hard to choose???

I keep going back and forth, back and forth, BACK AND FORTH! Does it REALLY have to be this hard???

These are my wants and the ones I am having a hard time deciding:

American Buff, Lavender or Blue
Sebastapols -- I reallllly like the looks of the grey saddlebacks


WHY am I making it SO much harder than it needs to be??

If you get a pair of each, they will have to be kept separated or you won't get purebred goslings.

If you like the looks of Sebastapols, perhaps you could find Sebbies in blue or lavender color and get the best of both worlds.

As far as I know, there isn't any reason you can't breed Saddleback Sebbies to blue or lavender Sebbies.

Not Sebbies, but I had a hatch this spring sired by a blue gander and the dam is a gray saddleback. I got half blue goslings and half saddleback goslings, 1 gray saddleback, 1 buff saddleback, and one blue saddleback. A nice selection of colors. The blue saddleback is very decidedly blue; very pretty.

I actually wouldn't mind having a pair of both, but I am already going to be past my limit....I have 18 ducks and after adding a pair of geese.....I just need to stop! I wish I had double the space in my yard, and quadruple the numbers in my checking account....I would add two pairs with no hesitation then!

why not get 1 of each and you can make your own geese, after all coloured sebbies are not pure anyway!

I have 2 American Lavs and they're really great! I've heard that Sebbies are super sweet too - and they're so darn pretty. I could never keep their feathers looking so nice around my place. But I'm with everyone else... get 'em both!

Now you DH can be mad at me too

I'd also be terribly torn but I'd get both and tell a gullible husband that they were going cheap and were a job lot. Just cook him a nice dinner and break it to him gently that the family's just got a little bigger

Or you could try the trick of I know what I want for Xmas...............................

Nicky.....I have actually thought of getting each kind and making my own colored sebbies, but most places won't sell you just one, and they aren't sexed.
