Thank youWe had originally bought him as a breeding buck. But when he arrived (had him sent down by a pet transport company), I saw he had a slip penis. I am very annoyed with the person who sold him to us, as she said absolutely nothing about it at the time of sale. All she said was that she wanted to move him on. I kinda thought that was a bit strange at the time, but really should have kept persisting for better answers
I have bred him to one of our does in the hope that we will get a true dwarf buck that doesn't carry that gene, and will most likely end up selling Chubby unfortunately.
Nice! ARBA shows are definitely a different feel. Much more competitive. But they can be fun. I have an adult Mini Rex who weighs 5 or 6 pounds. He's big boned, and he's evil. Good luck with your line! I don't show too much anymore, considering my rabbits are getting older (4-5 years) and my best show rabbit passed away in March. :/
My only doe of the 3 babies (the one that had the black otter pattern I loved so much) was dead in the cage this morning![]()
No idea why.
They're all the same size, all snuggling together (even after she was dead still snuggling), mom had been feeding them all...
She didn't hurt it or try to eat it or anything, it was just lying there dead with her 2 brothers.
Feeling sad this morning, she was my favorite baby
Depends on how bad it is. If it's just the tip, the buck can still breed, but of course that means he can pass it on to his offspring, and they may be worse. What does a split penis look like? I need to make sure my bucks don't have that. Can they not breed successfully?
