What do you find are the best puppy shots and why, what wormer do you normally start your puppies out on and at what age? I've found 5 way and 6 way puppy- ( Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2, Parainfluenza MLV Parvo, & Corona Vaccine?) shots but are there other things I should be concerned with? These are GP puppies and as they grow will be exposed to chickens and livestock etc.... so i want to make sure i have all the bases covered.

Here's some good liturature on Vaccine protocol -- all written by Veterinarians. My last puppy, my GSD, got his first vaccines at 8 weeks old. Some people don't vaccinate until 3 month old due to the fact that puppies have a strong immunity to lots of things through their Mom's own immunity. Vets are going away from the early vaccines at 6 weeks due to them already having this immunity, and, the increasing issue of vaccine reactions that kill puppies and even adult dogs.

I don't like to vaccinate for things that aren't likely to be in my area. Corona isn't a big concern where I live. I always Vaccinate for Parvo, Kennel cough, and of course Rabies as required by law.

i dont do combi vacines, i also dont give first puppy shots untill 8 weeks (we do 8 and 12 weeks) my pups do not go home unitll 12-14 weeks old.
i give parvo, adeno, parainfulenza, hep and distemper.
i prefer not to give rabies until 6 months

rabies is then 3 yearly and the rest i do a titer schedual.

i do not give bordetella or lepto, bordatella is pointless (too many strains, and only short term protection) and leptop tends to cause too many problems to be considered in a low risk area.

i start late for anumber or reasons, 1: mothers immunity doesnt wear off untill the 7-8 week point 2: my puppies are never exposed to unknown places, or unknown dogs 3: i breed toy dogs and smaller breeds tend to be more prone to bad vaccine reations in my experience.

Even though I know it may not take I still give a 5n1 at 6 weeks an again at 8 weeks. That way I at least know they got at leas two if the buyers drop the ball. After that I give another at 10 weeks then 13 weeks an finally at 16 weeks. Then I only do rabies after that.

Talk to your vet about what's recommended in your area. Each area is different because there is a higher or lower prevalence of diseases that varies by location. At the very least, they should get parvo and canine distemper regardless of location because these are both preventable and both highly likely to result in death and high vet bills (and in the case of distemper, lasting neurological effects if the pup does survive). For puppy puppies, I would do bordatella (intranasal) vaccine as well regardless of location because it is extremely common and crosses between species. It can be given as young as 6 weeks, but I personally would rather wait until 8 weeks. In my area, lepto and corona are a concern and kill dogs every year so it is definitely worth it to me to vaccinate for both. My own dogs (both adults) both get the lyme vaccine because even though we do not live in an area where it is considered a concern and they are on monthly tick preventative and I check for ticks after we go hiking my older dog has had lyme disease (and ehrlichia, and I'm kind of dreading her heartworm test this year since my vet has switched to the 4DX test that also tests for anaplasma and I'm starting to think her goal in life is to catch every tick borne disease known to man) but in puppies I probably wouldn't start that one until 12 or 14 weeks.
