What should I do during a tornado

I live smack dab in tornado ally.

I keep mine in the coop.

I could never get them all inside fast enough

we have had two tornados this season, and the coop stayed put in the high winds

They are inside for me the chicks and duckling always follow me so I just pick them up and put them inside the house in a safe spot thanks for your information I will be making upgrades to my coop so it can be more resistant to the wind

mine is really not going to go anywhere. Its so heavy....

mine run away from me when they know Im going to catch them. Last time we had a tornado I had to go inside with two loose because I couldn't catch them

I hope my chicks and ducks don’t start running everywhere when they grow up this is my first flock

It’s tornado season here in Dallas Texas what should I do with my small flock of ducks and chicken during a tornado event

I actually created a thread about this about a week ago if you want to go there and scroll through the advice me and some others have posted. Since it sounds like they are still in the house I would just take them with you to your safe spot. Be safe with this crazy weather it’s headed here tomorrow
