What should I do for This egg?!!

Yes I add LOTS of water and it still stays at like 20%!! What do I do the little baby isn’t doing much except for sitting in it’s egg it’s still alive should help it hatch?

Sorry about that, but the chick should be fine. Some take more time than others.

Yeah sorry about that, forgot I changed topics here. I was just on one about a blood ring sorry! But dont help it. You may hit a blood vessel causing the chick to bleed. Just wait a few hours. And come back and we will figure out what to do.

I wonder if your hygrometer is off. In a soda bottle cap or small dish, put a spoonful or two of salt. Add water until it is like a slurry, but not so much that the salt dissolves. Put the dish and your hygrometer in an upright container or zipper bag, seal it up, and wait 6 hours. If it's calibrated correctly, it should read exactly 75%.

I understand that, but steping in early can cause death too. Plus its a dry hatch right now. Dry hatchs have high hatch rates too. Just be patient with this egg. If anything changes you may candle it before steping in. Incase it’s fine.

During a dry hatch you still raise the humidity at the end. It is not the amount of water but surface area of water that will affect humidity. I aim to raise my humidity to 60 for the last 3 days. It is most important after the chick has externally pipped. Adding wash clothes, sponges or even paper towels help add water surface area. I have dry hatched several times

If you added lots of water then your hygrometer is broken, before your next hatch you'll want to get a new one.

I have a few eggs in my incubator I didn’t think any would hatch because the incubator keeps the humidity REALLY low like 19-25% so I’m really worried that this chick won’t be able to hatch WHAT SHOULD I DO??!!

At this point - day 19 - you should do NOTHING except keep the temperature consistent at 99.5-deg-F. If you've been adding "lots of water" then the humidity has to be higher than you think (unless you're in a very very dry climate). I suggest you don't add any more water. Too much humidity and the chick could drown in its own fluid during hatch. A dry hatch at this point is FINE. Chicks may pip and show movement for 2-3 days before hatch. Please resist the temptation to "help" it. Intervene only if you see an external pip and no progress beyond that for 24 hours.

Thank you I’m just really nervous for this chick. It has piped through the shell and is just wiggling around it there!
