Leftover steak, salmon, potatoes, corn on the cob (a true flock favorite!)

In addition to their regular food, every day they get bird seed mixes that have black oil sunflower seeds and other cool stuff - BJ roo goes crazy for the raisins in the mix and millet is a hit too. Other seeds and a bit of peanut and corn in the mixes also - they enjoy it all.

Then I add a few other things from this list and beyond each day, and try to vary it up:

blueberries
blackberries
raspberries
grapes
apples
cantelope
watermelon
tomato
banana (only BJ roo will entertain the idea)
(in cold weather I'll warm butternut squash for them or other veggies that are yummy warmed)

mealworms especially at times of year when bugs not prevalent outdoors
really good grain bread soaked with olive oil ~ once a week

not one of my chickens has ever tolerated strawberries, by the way, nor do they like lettuce, nor have any of them ever relished yogurt or oatmeal or egg!

a half rotted squash off the vine, cooked spaghetti noodles, lots of bread (get free day old bread so this is every day), variety of kitchen scraps from mom's including egg shells. They always get lots of stuff but today was a chicken bonanza!
