What to do about Hunting dogs killing my chickens

I'll offer some dissent. I've said it before and I'll say it again.......shooting dogs is not the answer. More likely the beginning of a whole lot of trouble.

Try this instead.........

Done right.....dogs will get the crap shocked out of them and once that happens, you can hardly get one to go near a fence, let alone cross it. That is far, far better solution than shooting dogs and all the fallout that ensues after that.

But give him ample warning first so he can rectify this situation.

But why should OP have to go and spend a any amount of money (other than for a single cartridge) because some jackass bliss ninny refuses to control his property. If he wants to keep his property alive, he needs to train it properly and get it under control, or be responsible for his own neglect.

I wish I could say that I understand in hunting gun.but unfortunately I don't! I am from a country that hunting and private Gun licenses are very rare, even though I have shoot much greater guns like M2 and 155mm howitzer......
Howitzers are pretty cool. But the gun restrictions suck!
Every one should be required to undergo firearms training by age 13 to gain respect and understanding of weapons. And every single person should be allowed to carry if they choose to.

An armed society is a polite society.

I served 3 years in the army and have been in some scary places too (Lebanon 86 wasn't a joke), and I am trying to get a lousy permit for a 9mm hand gun, at least 20 years, and Nada! Because I am not an officer I can't get the permit, even when I was doing reserve service I went home with Galil or M16!
