Seriously though, have you got the option to keep her in a completely enclosed run? Not ideal if you like to free range but better than being got by a dog. Have you clipped her wings?

Op said she’s escaping from her yard, Im asking why she is unable to sleep in the coop...
Op said the pen was already enclosed, which it mustn’t be if she’s escaping.
Why move her and another hen into another pen ? Instead of finding out what’s wrong with the pen she’s in..

I agree....but.....I guess just keeping her contained at this point is needed.

Honestly I'm confused how she's getting out too but no photos so can only go by OP's statement that it's an enclosed run.

Sorry for not replying here. I think I may have caught a small cold from being out in the rain most of last night in 29°F. It's still raining which I'm not too happy about.

Rusty is now acting like a spoiled hen because she's been demanding attention. I haven't put her back outside yet as I want to make sure she's not sick.
