What treat did your chickies get today?

pickles?????? HOW did you get them to eat them???? i periodically pick up McDonalds cheeseburgers for the girls (only on a special occasion) and they eat everything BUT the pickles. I have watched 'Bird fling one like it was a rubber plate from his beak. I swear he said 'yeuch!'.

Lettuce tomato mushrooms. Yep a big bowl of salad lol. They also got. Cooked 7 grain cereal wit scrambled eggs in it. They went mad over that!

plain yogurt mixed with the inside of a melon (pulp and seeds) scrambled egg, a little hemp seed and frozen blueberries.
gobbled it up!

Yesterday I gave the girls a frozen banana. They didn't like that.

They didn't care for cat food, either.

Today they are devouring a bit of leftovers: whole wheat perogies, pork chops, apple sauce, mac and cheese.

Ha ha.... mini heart attack! Their combs and wattles were turning blue and their poops were very black! I panicked, looked all over and then saw my empty bucket and remembered that I gave them a half gallon of thawed blueberries from last years crop this morning.

Also tossed in some lima beans, sliced apples and some cooked pie crust. Not a crumb left when I came home.
