What treat did your chickies get today?

How often do you all give your flock treats? I give them some once in a while but I don't want it to become too much of their diet if it's not enough of the proper nutrients for them.

Almost every day. They've usually been eating crumble before I let them out. They'll often leave treats and go out to forage in the yard a bit and then go back to the treat later.

Today I dumped bags of frozen peas in the freshly scrubbed & filled pools for the ducks, the chickens got three heads of lettuce and some apples. They were pretty happy about it.

I saw mine fighting over a frog.

Chinese egg plant & asparagus. They loved the egg plant, more or less ignored the asparagus.

Cucumbers from the back of the refrigerator. Had to clean out space for Easter supper! LOL
