Grapes and raisins can cause acute renal failure in some dogs. The cause is unclear since the types of grapes involved include both seedless and seeded, store bought and homegrown.Just a quick note here, grapes are toxic to dogs as the pesticides do not wash off well enough. Our vet warned up that even one could kill our small dog. So of course raisins are out to. So it would be reasonable to expect that raisins would perhaps have the same toxins. My birds got watermelon, spaghetti left overs and peas.
