What treat did your chickies get today?

More Safeguard wormer mash, and if they finish it all, they get a small box of raisins. Chickens can eat those, right?

mine will go nuts over banana!

I hung a cabbage head in the coop for them, they ignored it for about 3 weeks. I had about decided to take it out.
Then I noticed they had begun to pick at it, in a few days it was gone. So I waited a few days to put out another one. The grand daughter and I hung it right around lunch time on wednesday. By the time we got home from wednesday night service at church, it was GONE!

once they got a taste of it, they have decided they love it! I'll give them a head one day a week just to keep them active and something green.

we also take out table scraps and enjoy watching the games of 'keep away' they play

I gave them mixed vegetables and liver.

Gave them boiled eggs for the first time, hard boiled left over from Easter, they just stare @ it. Yesterday morning while its was dusk they were going @something below their roost (broken fresh eggs) go figure. They like to have the forbidden stuff.

Is feeding your chickens raisins/grapes bad? We have fed out this and have absolutely NO negative effects?
