What treat did your chickies get today?

Windy icy and snow today.

So a warm mash of their feed + home canned corn, oatmeal, BOSS, cream of wheat.
They cleaned up the whole thing in less than 10min.
Hung some kale for afternoon play.

today my hens got a nice clean coop, a dirt bath, waterer and feeder washed and refilled..and some leftover salad and crushed eggshells. they are having a good day

After the snow and ice and preparing for a night in the low 20's the flocked stocked up on scratch, wild bird seed mix, yogurt, meal worms, and BOSS

Some crappy stuff the wife came home with from the grocery store. It was called hamburger mix. The label said, beef hearts and soy protein. I ain't eatin that. The birds thought it was a rock concert!

Mince [ground beef]; mixed leaf lettuce; tomatoes; meal worms; watermelon and they were kind enough to help me eat my lunch which was a hot dog

Mine enjoyed a lovely slurry of leftover beef barley soup mixed with about 3/4 cup half and half and a couple table spoons of chia seeds. Mmmmmmm
