What treat did your chickies get today?

I scrambled up about 8 eggs....BOSS...Scratch

Tomorrow they get turkey and warm oatmeal

Today they picked at the rest of their pumpkin, and got the seeds and guts from last nights squash, and of course they got their scratch bribe to get them in for the evening.

ds made a batch of pumpkin pancakes this morning... 1st batch had a little too much baking soda... eww! SO we made giant pumpkin pancakes and fed them to our flock. They loved it!!! Then they had rice, bell pepper and tomorrow they get the insides of the pumpkins we carved tonight. YUMM!!

Today mine had boss -- left-over chinese food and a 1/4 pounder from wendy's...

it has gotten to the point that when I buy stuff for the kids I buy stuff for the chickens!! LOL

( I actually got it for me but decided that I didn't need the extra calories)

Today my bantams got leftover mashed butternut squash from last nights' dinner, and some scratch.

Today mine got 2 medium pumpkins with the tops cut off (these will last them a day or two), and some BOSS.

whole wheat pasta and organic millet.

Steamed brown rice and leftover slow-cooked chicken, BOSS & a little bit of wild bird seed. Of course they free-ranged for about 3 hours as well.

How do you folks get your chickens to eat whole (halved) squash or pumpkins? My give me the "no way--yuck" look and walk away disgusted.

So they got the leftover 10-grain cereal. Yummy. MIxed with fresh kale leaves from the winter garden... Not my favorite, but theirs!!
