What treat did your chickies get today?

Oatmeal, peas and crushed egg shells. They'll get some scratch when they come in for the night.

Tomatoes, String beans, worms, crickets, mole crickets...... they all had their own treat haha, thanks to some gardening

Well...one of my chickens treated herself to the mole on the back of my knee

Ours got a mouse today. I had one in a trap that wasn't quite dead. I let it go in the chicken pen and within about 1/10 of a second one had snatched it up and legged it to the other end of the pen with everyone else in hot pursuit. They chased each other and played tug of war with it for quite a while and I lost track so I don't know who ended up with the prize.

They also got a cantaloupe rind with some yogurt in it.

Old peaches, apples from my tree and cottage cheese...oh and dried apricots ... They should all have nice poops tonight!

My girls got grapes and the crust off a pb & j (had some pb & j on it). They love treats!

tomatoe guts, milk, cabbage leaves though they free range several hours a day. I have been leaving the garden gate open for them as most of the veggies are about done (and so am I).

We had flood irrigation so lots and lots of cockroaches and crickets. And, a big juicy tomato hornworm.

Dried Meal Worms, Fresh corn on the cob, and scratch!! They have been enjoying the light rain southeast texas has been getting and all the good bugs too!
