What is OEGB?

Old English game bird. they did (do) fight them. Horrible. I had one, he was beautiful. got killed by the neighbours dog, (but at least he made good soup.)
they are known for being very good at foraging, and my OEGBs are. I also have an OEGB broody on eggs right now--5 have hatched. they are good birds--good pets.

Alright people they are not "fighting cocks".....more than likely it is an American Gamefowl. Created using Old English Game, Spanish Game, Irish Game, Oriental Gamefowl, etc., they are very self sufficient and make gorgous free range birds for your farm/homestead. As with any gamefowl, the instinct for them to establish dominence over a territory and pass on their genes through the gathering of a flock does mean they are more aggressive towards other males and need extra care than run of the mill barnyard fowl, but are well worth the extra effort. They have great individual personalities and come in all colors of the rainbow. If you are ever lucky enough to raise any either in bantam or standard, you will always want to have some roaming your yard.

im finally glad to see someone else that sees gamefowl as more then a simple (oh its a fighting bird. no need for these. rehome/kill it) but also. Im not sure if it is a gamefowl. in my opinion it has more of a leghorn/jungle fowl look. but honestly. american gamefowl/leghorn/jungle fowl all look alike so there is really no telling,

EDIT: PS.. hes also too big to be a OEGB. oegb=Old english game bantams. are only 24 ounces at full grown. (for a rooster) and MAYBE, 8 inchs tall. possible 9., so i would guess hes a Standard. OR. a american gamefowl... but then hes too small for most of the gamefowl.. And looks about the size of a junglefowl.. so... I dont know i think im going to vote junglefowl/Leghorn. maybe even American game bantams, (28 ounces.. and 26 for hens)
