I hated high school! I went to Green Valley High School in Henderson, NV for my freshman and sophomore years. Shortly after starting my freshman year, I told my counselor I needed to know what do to graduate early. Everyone was classified by group (jock, preppy, nerd, stoner, skater, etc) and/or class levels (remedial, regular, honors, AP, IB). Then, to top it off, we had a bunch of rich kids who thought they were above everyone else because their parents had money. I was an honors student (didn't want to take AP or IB) and played the violin in the orchestra and flute in the musical's orchestra pit. My junior year I was accepted into a county-funded community college/HS program and received my diploma (1999) from the CC. HS was miserable.
My brother was home-schooled from 7th grade through HS and was much happier.
For any youngsters reading this post...college is MUCH better than HS!
