What Will Babette Lay Today?!

Are the white spots slightly raised? If so they are probably extra calcium deposits. One of my hens in particular will lay eggs with extra calcium on the shell occasionally. She’s done it less as she’s gotten older, though.

Some were raised and some were recessed! So bizarre!

So I think Babette is finally settling down to some serious hen work. She lived large for awhile but now I'm getting pretty standard - albeit absolutely lovely - eggs from her every day. They're almost (but not quite) identical to Lucille's.

Here are the two from yesterday and the two from today. See if you can guess who laid which!

They also both lay in the left nesting box every day now, which is sweet. I really love these girls!

I think from here on in I will only post if I get a really #WTHB egg. Thanks for following along on our journey, and happy egg laying adventures to you all!

Gorgeous eggs! It’s been fun seeing all of babette’s egg adventures, but I’m glad she’s settled down and is laying reliably for you! Best of luck to your girls!
