Whatcha Making for Supper?

We were supposed to have the pot roast the other night, but it got moved to last night. Made it in the instant pot, used the recipe in the book and it’s delicious. Except I pressure cooked rather than slow cooked.
I don’t have an instant pot but a fairly good sized stovetop pressure cooker. I do my bone broth in it, pork chops, pot roast, chili and other soups from dry beans etc. I don’t know how I cooked before lol

Same here. I have an old Rival stovetop pressure cooker (not canner) that was my mom's. When I inherited it the seal leaked and the overpressure valve rubber was hard. I ordered a new seal ring/overpressure valve kit from Amazon and it works like new now.

If I soak my pinto beans overnight it only takes 6 or 7 minutes at pressure to cook them completely. That's fast!

We have a stainless steel pressure frying pan that has not been unpacked after this last move that is sorely needed for pot roasts. It was so quick to brown the roast and then bring up the pressure until done and take the lid off and add carrots, onion, and potatoes for a couple of minutes or so under pressure and it was so good as well as quick and easy. If I only had a clue as to where that box might be stored. We thought we knew but were wrong.

I only have the instant pot because my pressure cooker was too big for my stove; it was very old and well seasoned. I miss it!
