I know what October should be. Fresh, crisp air that sweeps in across 400 miles of the open Pacific. The slightest of chills that makes you reach for your lightest of sweaters. The hint of magical things to come: birthdays, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years. Beautiful sparkling lights, decorations inside and out, streets and people aglow, celebration of the birth of Our Savior. And all of it starts with October!
But not here. Here, October means boiling in triple digit temps just as we have been for months and months.
