What's the temperature where you are???

That big, scary yellow thing's been up in the sky here for the past week, too. As if the cold wasn't enough to keep us in, now the world is blinding, even with good sunglasses ... when they don't fog up because of your breath!
I know, I know ... never happy. Did I mention yet today that I want my flip flops back?

Yep that snow sure can make it extra bright! The paradox with snow (esp when one gets lots of it) is that even with the sunshine, it’s reflected off the snow and thus won’t warm up things.

If the ground wasn’t covered in the snow it would warm up from solar loading and warm up the air. So I’m order to melt the snow a warm wind is required which is less energy efficient than sunlight.

And of course then with all the snow and cold air any moisture falls as snow adding to the snow pack and again lessening the ability of the sun to warm things up.

Have I mentioned I hate winter? I try not to wear flip flops in the summer - hard on the toes when to horses trod on them
