Well, it's, um around 65 right now.
When I ran to the pharmacy this morning my vehicle said 2 degrees. Brrrrrrrr
It's about 10f now. However, the past 4 nights I had:
-16.1, -20.4, -6.7, -7.5.
I hear it's going to warm up into the 20s by Monday.
The chicken coop (uninsulated but with a 250 watt heat lamp) dropped to 6.9 one night. Still can't believe (but pleased) the birds are FINE!
60 degrees out there right now. Headed down to a low of 45.
I turned off the heat light in the corner and opened one of the windows.
They all seem to enjoy the coop these days.
My living room is 61 degrees... that's with 2 space heaters going full blast.
The chicken coop is 37.
Thanks for reminding me that I need to put the faucets on a slow drip overnight until our heat is back up & running... whenever that is.
cold, like around , never mind its 19F right now. But it was bitter cold yesterday.
Quote:Busted pipes are no fun.
Keep that water drippin'!
14 degrees and falling here.
Quote:I just set the kitchen sink & bathroom sink to slow drips. I have to say that after being raised not to waste water, it's h-a-r-d to go to bed, knowing that it's going to drip all night long.
But at least we'll safeguard against broken pipes. Just thope that my houseplants survive this interior "artic blast".
Tomorrow DBF and I are going to prep the area in the laundry room for the boiler's new location . On the bright side, it'll be more efficient once it's brought into the house... AND it's a 3-day weekend, so I effectively have a full day to devote to it.
Here in VT the temps are really, really cold. Friday morning the temp was -27 degrees. That is OMGosh wayyyyyy to cold for my liking. Anyway, with heat lamps running in the coops the temp was at zero.
We are keeping the coop doors closed, heat lamps going, and put extra hay down for them to hunker down in. So far the girls are all hanging in there.
Today the high was 8 degrees, and tomorrow should be warmer. Lets hope so.
