I just set the kitchen sink & bathroom sink to slow drips. I have to say that after being raised not to waste water, it's h-a-r-d to go to bed, knowing that it's going to drip all night long.
But at least we'll safeguard against broken pipes. Just thope that my houseplants survive this interior "artic blast".
Tomorrow DBF and I are going to prep the area in the laundry room for the boiler's new location . On the bright side, it'll be more efficient once it's brought into the house... AND it's a 3-day weekend, so I effectively have a full day to devote to it.
Here in VT the temps are really, really cold. Friday morning the temp was -27 degrees. That is OMGosh wayyyyyy to cold for my liking. Anyway, with heat lamps running in the coops the temp was at zero.
We are keeping the coop doors closed, heat lamps going, and put extra hay down for them to hunker down in. So far the girls are all hanging in there.
Today the high was 8 degrees, and tomorrow should be warmer. Lets hope so.
