Do you think meds could help with bi-polar weather? I don't mean for people, maybe Mother nature needs help.

Currently: -23 C with a -32 wind chill
Coop: -16.2C

Last night: -28C with a -41 wind chill
Coop: -18.7 last visible reading, thermometer stopped registering until it warmed up to -18.4C in the coop this morning.
(My face started to freeze this morning during chores. Ouch!)

-34C (-30f) thankfully it is dead calm, and the weather moron claims a warming trend starts today.

My poor roo has a bit of frost bite on his comb, but the girls and turkeys don't Show any adverse affects.

May I ask what kind of chickens you have? I'm always interested in hearing about other people's cold tolerant varieties.

Snowing, no wind, about 6 inches so far; nice that it's falling straight down and not sideways :)

@Wickedchicken6, look into EEs, BRs, and BAs if you want some good cold hardies ;) Out of all the girls, they're my laying champs, still popping em out even with subzeros and no frostbit combs (ok, I have a couple BRs with a tiny bit of frostbite lol, but they have huge combs haha)
