Coop: -18.7 last visible reading, thermometer stopped registering until it warmed up to -18.4C in the coop this morning.

Holy moly! Now THAT is nasty cold! Even without a breeze...lol.

May I ask what kind of chickens you have? I'm always interested in hearing about other people's cold tolerant varieties.

Snowing, no wind, about 6 inches so far; nice that it's falling straight down and not sideways

@Wickedchicken6, look into EEs, BRs, and BAs if you want some good cold hardies Out of all the girls, they're my laying champs, still popping em out even with subzeros and no frostbit combs (ok, I have a couple BRs with a tiny bit of frostbite lol, but they have huge combs haha)
