Like my house or your house maybe? That might be far enough! She'd freeze at yours and drown at mine! Good luck @Oz chic !

Thanks, think either would be great right now.

it is a scary situation to be in, especially when you read this “You need to understand that a CATASTROPHIC fire RATING means that we believe that NO HOME could withstand a fire in these conditions.” in the warnings.

Our air quality here yesterday was way off the charts, well into the 2000’s and was way worse than areas in the fire ground, my daughters showed me her car when she got home from work, it was covered in ash.

Is currently 19 (66.2f) @ 8.15am and it is climbing fast, we are expecting 43c (109.4) and gale force winds.

I will try to keep you all updated throughout the day, but with the gale wind, they are predicting power outages, so i will see I will see how we go.

So far so good, just got notice of where our evacuation centre is - Both comforting and scary at the same time.

wind is starting to pick up now,

current temp is 40c (104f) outside thermometer reads 44c (111.2)

can’t have the air conditioner on, as it is sucking in the smoke from out side :he so just basic fans for now.
