Sydney to sweat through warmest night in four years​

Most of Sydney is forecast to reach from 35 to 37 degrees on Thursday afternoon, as much as nine above average for January but well below the 40-degree heat observed in early December. (this heat was experienced in Sydney's West, not the City).

Temperatures to peak in the high 40s​

Hot air is already spreading across inland NSW today, although an onshore breeze will temper conditions along the coastal fringe.

I love the heat. I ache less, do more, feel energised by it. Dad was the same. He and I put the tin roof on the chook house during 38c temps when all the hot westerly winds and bushfires were raging (2019).
