It also caused delays to flights in and out of the airport.
Two Qantas flights about to land in Sydney were forced to divert to Canberra, with several other airlines also doing the same.
The rain only lasted about 30 minutes but managed to create quite a bit of damage in its wake.
Whoa Nelly! Crazy weather.

-5C (23F) and clear. We remain under a snow squall warning, I have been keeping an eye on a squall line setting up on Georgian Bay, when the wind set up right, that means snow for me.

DS and BIL received over 100cm (3’) of lake effect snow this weekend - they can keep it! If the squall setting up here happens I will likely get a couple feet also though. Oh joy.
