whats the worst gift you have ever recieved?

Ok, send them my way. I onced dreamed about getting 19 pairs of socks for my birthday, and it was a happy dream. I don't know why I want socks so much- Like some women (and dogs) crave shoes?

I'm a sock nut too because my feet are usually cold...

Every year I buy socks thinking 'maybe this brand won't pill', but they always do!

I wish someone could point me to some socks that are all cotton, not too tight, won't pill, stay soft through multiple washings, and are not expensive so I can buy enough pairs. I sometimes wear 2 pair in a day.

You know if you soak the fruitcake covered with brandy in a Tupperware container for a month it isn't half bad. Poke holes in the fruitcake before pouring the brandy over it so it soaks in really good.

Then you light it on fire.....

ring the door bell, and run away leaving it on the door step of the person who gave it to you.

my 3 yr old said why are you laughing?! LOL! This is a hoot!!!

You should try the wool Smartwool socks... they're the furthest thing from cheap ($13 - $18/pair) but you won't have to change twice a day any more...

Worst gifts:

1. When I was a teenager, a great aunt gave me the most awful white sweatshirt for Christmas. It looked like something an old biddy from New Jersey would wear to go play the nickel slots. It had silk poinsetta flowers all over it that someone had opened up, removed from the stalk, and glued to the top. They had then put a sequin in the center and used puffy paint around the edges. It was hideous. We sent it to my east coast grandmother, who loved it.

2. My mom's SIL used to work for & manage cosmetics counters. She used to give my cousin and me tester bottles & samples, but never things we liked. What self-respecting circa 1990 teen wanted to wear Red Door or Chanel number anything? We wanted Obsession, Eternity, and Sunflower!

Some of you are giving me complexes about the gifts I'm giving this year.

DBF and I can't afford much, so I'm making things, including a pair of socks for my dad.

Send me your fruitcake! I like it.
