Jean- I know for some traits in animals there are two different genes that can create the same trait. Even if the gene is silkie and not fray, if the gene is not the same as the silkie gene in silkies, might the result still be a hard feathered bird?

I had to help one of my chicks out during the January hatch, and it is doing just fine.
On another note: Kathy and I are working on getting me two silkies in a week or two - which I will breed with my rooster. Should be interesting to see how it turns out.

LOL Its near the top of the screen , two little green arrows pointing up and down in a circular motion . I only recently figured out that clicking that brings the page up to date and new posts visable LOL .
