What's wrong with this chicken's feet?

Any ideas of what's wrong with this chicken's feet? Note: The "brownish" color is caused by an Iodine wash.

It appears to be dead tissue sloughing off. Please tell me you rescued this bird and it you found it this way.

I'll be honest.

They look dead. I've never seen it before, but they look totally necrotic, like the chicken is walking around on her leg stumps with the feet hanging on.

If that were my bird it would be culled.

Thats BAD! Get some Corona Smear from the feed store and cover that poor suckers feet and legs with it. Top, bottom and sides. Its gotta be painfull. antibiotics in the water for a week then do it again till the legs lo0ok like legs again.

Well, if the bird is in pain, then I would highly consider putting it out of its misery.

Has it seen a vet?

I would also recommend a visit to your vet - this isn't something I'd want to mess around with

Could be a serious case of scaly leg mites. I would put the bird out of his misery and make sure you check the other chickens.

Is she limping? Bumble foot usually starts in the pad of the foot so I was thinking Mites as well.
