I voted Easter Egger. Though my favorite chicken is Cochins. We at the time have 5 cochins Lily, Milly, Snow, Winter, and Scotty (Named after Scotty from Star Trek) I voted Easter Eggers for their looks, great egg laying, and their great personality.
This is my living Easter Egger Cheetah my others have died though.

Well, I actually have 2 favorite breeds, 1 for meat and 1 for eggs.

Plymouth (more specifically the "White Plymouth Rock) and Dominiques!

Ever since having chickens 9-years and breeding them for 2-years I am not at all attached to my chickens, so also has a lot to do with the breeds I picked!

I don't pick for style, colors, or temperament.

We are getting ready to start selling eggs to 4-resturants so that means lots of eggs.... I really don't like any hybrids, leg horns, Rhode Island Reds, etc, they just aren't my cup of tea. But when I saw the Dominique I was in love with everything about them!

I chose them because they aren't a hybrid, they lay really good, where I used to live we had parasite issues all the time but my doms where hardy, etc.

They aren't the friendliest, kinda boring to look at, etc but they can lay... I used to keep records on my doms (only had six back then) and 1hen made it to 309-eggs in one year. Sadly when we moved all my record cards got thrown away because they just looked like pieces of paper, not. Oh, well.

With the doms doing the laying I wanted a meat bird but then again I picky, no Cornish chickens, but I needed a dual purpose chicken..... I didn't find that breed till 2-months ago, my uncle has 6-White Plymouth Rocks.... They huge, and sweet tempered so that is a plus.... Right now all 6- hens weight around 9-11pounds, I say pretty good.

I am hoping next year to cross the Dom with the Plymouth to see how they do. But we will see what happens when the time is right.

@Lady of McCamley
Would you be talking about the "Mille Fleur D'uccles Bantam" or a different different kind? I want to make sure I am talking about the same one you are.
Thanks! :)

I'm talking about the Mille Fleur coloring in a Bantam Cochin.

D'Uccle is a different bantam breed.

Mille Fleur is color (can be found in numerous breeds)
Bantam is size (found is many breeds...just a miniture)

Cochin is a breed.
D'Uccle is a breed.

Oh I'm sorry! I should have known that! I guess I had a little brain fart. :lau
I apologise about that!

My favorite breed over all are golden campines (Buff orps are a close second! :p), but i definately have some on the poll that are in my top ten list. I chose orpington, austrolorp, EE, and plymoth.

It's impossible to choose only one! XD
