Fiona is stunning.
I have a soft spot for drafts, I have growen up with a BLM mustang named Glory who is part Belgian. she is now 21, and is about a month older then me. I was about a year old when my Grandma got her, and the one story my Dad has never told her was how I walked under her the day they brot her home. He said every one was headed for the house, and I had been right by him. then he looks back and I'm rubbing her belly. Grandma has always been so happy to be the first to touch her Dad never said a word to any one, he just told me last year. She has been in my back yard forever.
When I was 6 my Grandparent's got me Farrah a 2yo Shetland Mini cross. I still have her, and at 17 she is still young in meny ways. no pics on here, but she is a fuzzy little light sorrle. She and Glory spent 12 years just the two of them, then I was given a QH filly whom I named Cherokee. so far I've had her from 4mo to 4 years and I would not trade that brat for the world. no out standing breeding or anything, but she is a cute little horse that fits me well. I think she is bred { so not planed
} and will foal in the spring. With the help of a friend I started her as a 2yo, I rode her often through the winter, the next summer I could ride her/ take her where ever. She was my first real horse, and the first horse I started. late next year I mite start training her for brake away roping.
this is Reno my brothers 15?yo bay overo paint, me {
} Cherokee & my dog Kota they are buddys to a point, behind them is KoKo a mare from the same stud as Cherokee who I started and sold to a lady for her family, they just love her.
My family also has Cherokee's mom, and full brother who is black {got them after my girl} they are not alike. Gidget 12 and Smokie 3
then there is the mini stud Shortie 5
and Bell aka The Gray Mare12-13, who is a BLM mustang that was never gentled, she was adoupted in 02 I think. I worked with her some, but she is really just to look at lol. She is bred by smokie
And Shadow Bells 2yo colt that came with her when we got her two years ago. He is my quiet little buddy, and if is training keeps going like it is he will be a play-day family/kids horse.
I had two Australian Brumby's, Tanner & Thowra, (Tanner becoz i have a facination with wanting to live in Montana,USA. & Thowra was named after The Silver Brumby who had the same colouring)
We mustered them in ourselves, and tamed them, but i was only ever able to ride the mare Thowra, as Tanner was just too big and strong a stallion for me.
Due to a lack of time and space, they found a new home with an expert horseman, who has since been able to ride Tanner, and has also produced a colt which he asked to name (isnt that sweet?!
) i named the little colt Baringa
(Thowra means 'Wind' & Baringa means 'Light' or 'Dawn')
