I came home and shined a light into the bator and...... I have a pip!!!!!

So I am staring and staring and staring at this pip..... I don't see any movement

Should I worry that it died after the first pip? Here is a pic of the pip..

It is the front middle egg on the back side..
 
Hooray! Glad you got your first pip, might be in the morning or later before it progresses. Check out my babies in there brooder in my other post, My first pip in my new Suro20. Still got two in bator drying out and one more yet to pip.
 
The first pip has zipped almost 75% around the shell but the membrane looks unbroaken for most of it and it looks kind of dry from the outside.

Is that a problem? I also have 5 more pips. So 6 of 11 have piped

The humidity is about 65% most of the time and I have not opened it up. The top little vent is closed. Here are two pics from an hr ago. When does the chick run out of steam hatching?

It can take well over 24 hours from pip to hatched. It's hard work and they often will stop to rest and let more of the yolk absorb if it hasn't already. Make sure you have enough vents open so they are getting enough oxygen.
