When can I have my ducklings free range w/other two ducks

Hello duck family!

I have two 13 week old Buff duck hens and two 5 1/2 week old Cayuga mix ducklings. Just curious on when I can have them free range together? The babies really wanna be with them and quack/chirp for them.. the older ducks like to lay next to the babies run and eat w/them.. i just don’t want them to get hurt.
Any ideas or knowledge on this would be greatly appreciated

from 6 to 8 weeks i keep mine separated by a fence and then i let them together, except at night I split the coop in half with a fence for another 3 weeks after that.

Sounds like you're doing the right thing by letting them get acquainted through their pen.

Since they already 'know' each other, you can try letting them interact without a barrier for short amounts of time, with supervision. Gradually increase the time.

I don't think it will take them long to integrate with them already familiar with each other.

I agree with @Canadian Wind, I would try them together supervised. Because your older ones are female you don’t have to worry about unwanted sexual interaction which is usually the issue. If all goes well, let them be together.
