When do Buff Orpingtons start laying?

Mine laid our very first egg today, she is 19 weeks

My 15 hens are now 25 weeks old and I am getting a minimum of 11 eggs per day. One day I got 14 with an average of 12 per day. I couldn't be happier with my Buff Orpingtons! They are the sweetest chickens ever.

Now I Have To Mention That I Asked This Question Myself Becuase I Too Have Buff Orps. I Was Told About 20 Weeks. Should I Be Planning On Them Laying Later Than That Then?
Usually they lay closer to six months. Mine is 27 weeks and still has not layed yet, though.

I got my first egg today from one of my four hens- a Buff Orpington. She's 23 1/2 weeks old. Her sister doesn't even look like she's about to lay an egg soon!

.. Got all my chickens from a breeder, if that matters.

Oy! It's been more than 34 weeks and nothing yet. My Light Brahma (born the same time) even beat her to it! My whole flock is laying except this one (I only have this one Orp). She is my second biggest girl, yet she is at the bottom of the pecking order and is very timid and nervous.

She looks healthy, but I hope she's ok :(

Wait a minute, they lay eggs too. Totally cool, best pet ever. My lovies have already earned their keep just in loving us.

Ours are almost 6 months old and no eggs yet. Of course, we're not sure of their exact age and if they are even pullets!! We are newbies to this and may have purchased cockerels by mistake, but there's no crowing yet either.
