Please help I have two duck eggs one start piping early this morning probably around 5am when should I help assist the hatching it is now 8:30 pm I took a picture of his progress shown below! My other egg has not started piping through yet he is still alive and active but no piping and it makes me worried because this just happened to me the other day the exact same thing but with the baby chickens and the one baby check died so what do I do I don’t want the baby duck to die? Do I put a small whole or take a chance and wait til the morning with egg 1 and hope that it doesn’t die like the chicken?

Ducks can take up 48 hours to hatch, so if it hasn't hit the 48 hour mark I wouldn't assist. What day are you on?

Did he internally pip?
I can’t tell today is day 31 and the other little duck that did hatch is lonely I can’t tell if he’s stuck to the one side and he’s not able to PIP or what’s going on and then the other side is kind of clear but he’s very active but he hasn’t moved from that one side

If he internally pipped then there's a beak in the aircell:

I’ve tried sending a video but it won’t work I don’t know why but that would probably show a lot better than my pictures
