Hello!
I have a quick question! Well we have four week old chicks and they can fly about a foot and 1/2. Does anyone know when we are able and should clip there wings? Like I said they can already fly a little bit. So please help us out. We can't remember when we clipped our other chickens. Thanks! Also it doesn't matter which side we clip right? I just can't remember its been about a year since we did this.

If you clip them anytime before 6 months they will REGROW those feathers faster than you can shake a stick at them. I'd only clip them if they were in danger.

Mine usually get their first haircuts around 6-8 weeks, because at that point they started going over the fence to become the neighbor's dog's dinner

Suicidal biddies.
But at that age you have to re-clip them every week or two.
