When the men put their foot down...

Well you'll find plenty of support here, that's for sure! I love your attitude.

Don't know what kind of hay you'd consider getting, but here, it's either alfalfa or straw, and they are too heavy for me to lift. I can drag them with great effort. I've burned many, but the ashes left behind are much more than from wood. Our burn pile is easily a foot taller than the earth around it.

Wipe that shoe outdoors!

oooh breaking point? This little one hit my Dh's breaking point...

He refuses to be potty trained at 10 months old-when he was a baby-he slept on top of my head everynight-when he got older-I got him trained to sleep outside my bedroom-he is crate trained-spoiled rotten but it does not phase him to pee or poop on the floors or beds! My Dh made me promise never again-I agreed. The chickens just kept getting bigger and bigger-new coops went up-I know not to push it anymore this year-I have 45+ chickens now heading into winter-he said I could pick up the chicken thing in the Spring! I agreed too..alot of work

DH said I couldn't have a inside cat, until I told him he couldn't have a dog. We have two inside cats now. He tries to pretend that he's not a marshmellow and doesn't like animals, he's the one who rescued the other cat! I build my own coops, pick up my own feed and take care of the chickens, so his say in the matter is pretty nil. He has mentioned that for the space we have, we really don't need any more chickens, but a second later tells me he can't wait to see what the chicks look like when they hatch. He even has his own chicken now and he swears her eggs are the best. He's such a softy.

If my husband ever tried to put his foot down...I'd stomp the heck out of it! Then he'd cry....

You are so young, and so CUTE. I just kidding- that sounds good, but doesn't work at my house!

**snicker,snicker**

well, mine put his foot down and all the begging (from me) and cute little man faces (from our 4 year old) won't budge that foot," WE ARE NOT GETTING A DOG", is all we here, we lost our beloved doberman 2 years ago and we all were in love with her, he says you will never find a dog like that again, and were not getting no puppy!

This is how we came to get chickens, and we love them, We still want a new dog pretty bad but we are allowed to have as many chickens as we want. (we have 7 adults, 6 one week old silkies, and 8 eggs in the bator!!! We live in the country with plenty of room and a large house, but you wont find a dog .......

PS I did talk him into building a bigger better coop, pics coming soon!!!
